Specialty Designations


 

 

The CEBS® program now offers candidates the opportunity to earn three specialty designations:   Group Benefits Associate (GBA), Retirement Plans Associate (RPA) and Compensation Management Specialist (CMS). The GBA and RPA and CMS recognize the three primary areas of specialization within total compensation—group and retirement, and compensation management.  The GBA, RPA, and CMS designations require successful completion of three examinations within the CEBS curriculum. Similarly to the CEBS designation, the GBA,  RPA, and CMS designations are awarded by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Complete these three courses:
CEBS Course 1 --
Employee Benefits: Concepts and Health Care Benefits
CEBS Course 2 -- Employee Benefits: Design, Administration and other Welfare Benefits
CEBS Course 9 --
Health Economics

Complete these three courses:
CEBS RPA1 -- Retirement Plan Design 
CEBS RPA2 -- Retirement Plan Management
CEBS Course 7 -- Asset Management

 

 

CMS

Complete these three courses:
Comp 1--Compensation: Concepts and Principles
Comp 2--Executive Compensation & Compensation
Issues

CEBS Course 8--Human Resources and Compensation
